Hello my name is Josie I am a personal support worker in this field for almost 8 years. I have done everything from medication dispensing, bathing, cooking, cleaning, teaching, errands, walks, medical appointments where I would track all the importants details for the loved ones. I prefer to do live-in care worker but will do really part-time or full-time as well.
I have cared for men and women with dementia and alzheimer's, Cancer survivorsa doing treatment, Hep C and drug addicts, emotionally and mentally ill and I have worked with clients hospice. I have done 8 years ago candy stripper work to caring for people with my aunts nursing on wheels company. Then I went to school for child daycare management at Sheridan College and legal real-estate administration in 2003.
I am great at resourcing and working with organizations from all types of company's and supports. I am great at helping with finances with my book-keeping education, taxes, etc. I am also the best at communicating advocating and working with small and large families to keep the circle flowing with Love and support. I can help with planning for what the next's steps are in the loved one life from live-in care to retirement home, I am a in home worker as well as a manager and companion.,
I can pretty much do about almost anything as well I am adaptable and great at learning. The most important thing to me is the quality of my work and that I end up falling in love with every client I have had. Even the grumpy ones.
